INTRODUCING Delivering Domino’s Pizza by Unmanned Helicopter: What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Proving that it’ll try anything short of making tasty pizza in order to get you to buy its pizza, Domino’s has uploaded the above video to its U.K. and Republic of Ireland
 
The video’s caption: “See the latest delivery innovation from Domino’s. The DomiCopter – taking deliveries to new heights.”
As Pocket-lint posits, this seems like little more than a publicity stunt at the moment. At least it’s technically possible to have your pizza delivered through the air while attached to an unmanned drone-like whatsit. That’s what technology is all about: possibilities. For those of you keeping score in the pizza gimmick wars, we currently have Pizza Hut letting you order pizza through your Xbox versus Domino’s proof-of-concept DomiCopter. If Papa John’s doesn’t launch some sort of satellite to drop pizza from low earth orbit, its business might be doomed. Hopefully we should b expecting one in NIGERIA.
