NDLEA arrests man and seizes ‘cocaine candies’,

          Onyejiaju Augustine


      Police salvage 'winged creature womofficials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have seized 2.605 kilograms of cocaine pressed as confections.

       The org likewise captured a 52-year-old man, Onyejiaju Augustine, who was the manager of the cocaine confections.

        The NDLEA representative, Michelle Ofoyeju, said the seizure and the capture were made at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while the suspect was attempting to pirate the cocaine out of the nation.  Read more after the cut ....

        

      Ofoyeju said, "Augustine, who is a master in pill had prior withdrawn Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the illegal medication camouflaged as confections. He was, on the other hand, got at the MMIA in Lagos."

         He said the Imo State-conceived suspect had been on the arrangement of needed runners and was in the long run discovered throughout the screening of travelers enroute Etihad.

The Commander of the organization at the hangar, Mr. Umar Hamza, affirmed the capture.

He said, "We made a stunning disclosure of 2.605kg of cocaine deliberately and conveniently pressed as confections. The suspect has been captured and presently under examination regarding unlawful ownership of cocaine."

He included that the suspect had admitted to the wrongdoing and would be charged to court soon.

Augustine, who was said to have acted like a shop manager to cheat the authorities that the cocaine was confections, said, "I claim a general store in Brazil where I had existed since 2006. I purchased the cocaine and hid it as confections. It was sad that the trap was found."

The Chairman, NDLEA, Mr. Ahmadu Giade, depicted the capture as the conclusion of the organization's reconnaissance.

"This capture is a sign that the org is making striking advancement in undercover operations. The suspect has been under reconnaissance for a few years succeeding his asserted part in illegal medication disguise for pill donkeys" Giade said.
