We hope Katy Perry doesn’t have allergies.
We’re not sure what it is about the pop princess that screams “Farm girl!” but for her debut covers with both Vogue and Teen Vogue, photogs asked Perry to hit the hay.
Snapped by Sebastian Kim in 2012 for her Teen Vogue cover, the then blue-tressed songstress was visited by a little red birdie as she relaxed in a barn.
When Annie Leibovitz shot Perry for the July issue of Vogue (in which she also expertly throws shade at ex Russell Brand!), there was no red bird, but there was a glamorous red Zac Posen number as she casually lounged on hay bales.
Perhaps the rustic backdrop is an effort to tone down Perry’s normally over-the-top style–or maybe she just gives photographers hay fever.
Hay girl–we still think you look glam either way.
