Nelson Mandela is ‘much better’ after pneumonia scare, Zuma says after visit


South African President Jacob Zuma visited the anti-apartheid hero in the hospital. Mandela is reportedly in stable condition and responding well to treatment.

NELSON MANDELA RESPONDING POSITIVELY TO TREATMENT AFTER ANOTHER HEALTH SCARE
Mandela has spent just over a week in hospital. This is the third health scare in four months for the Nobel Peace Prize laureate, who became South Africa's first black president in 1994 and was hailed as a global symbol of tolerance and harmony.
The revered anti-apartheid hero became South Africa’s first black president in 1994.
