But Nicole Scherzinger discovered the downside to her shoulder-robing on Thursday as she arrived for the X Factor auditions in Manchester.
   The 34-year-old star's outerwear choice entirely concealed her arms and hands, making for a humorous image as she made her way into the Old Trafford Centre to see more of this year's hopefuls.

    Nicole looked otherwise stylish as she paired the black and white cape with a blue shirt, leather trousers and black boots with gold buttons for the day at the Trafford Centre

     Nicole corrected her wardrobe mishap as she unveiled her hands to meet fans and sign autographs before heading inside.
Despite her cape fail, Nicole looked otherwise stunning in her ensemble, rocking a bright blue shirt with a pair of leather trousers and black boots.
Nicole finished off her look by wearing her raven-black hair loose and volumised, and ignored the dreary weather as she wore a pair of sunglasses.

   Ahead of the auditions, Nicole wrote on her Twitter page: 'It's a rainy, grey day in Manchester, but bring on the sunshine, great talent and good energy @TheXFactor.'
Nicole was joined by her fellow judges Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow as she arrived for the auditions.
    Sharon dressed appropriately for the weather in a black maxi skirt with a taupe and black lacy vest top and gold-trimmed black jacket.
