Nigeria’s
business reality television show, The Next Titan, is set to blow
everyone away as the plot to unveil a winner begins. Following the
premiere of the show on the 19 April at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria
Island, 16 finalists were unveiled as well as the judges and the host of
the show.
The 16 contestants were selected from a boot camp
organised for over 50 contenders. The audition for The Next Titan
finalists took place in various cities across the country including
Abuja, Port Harcourt and Lagos. The show is geared towards helping young
Nigerians achieve their entrepreneurial goals despite the challenges of
entrepreneurship and business.
The contestants will be in the
house for 13 weeks and each week they will be saddled with tasks which
can completed by brainstorming in the boardroom or turning to their best
friends for help.
Titan contestants: the game begins
With
a grand prize money of five million naira, a brand new car and lasting
business support from some of Nigeria’s top business moguls, the reality
television show is expected to throw up a lot of friendship, rivalry,
love, drama, quarrels and money making.
At only 22, Jubril Juma,
is the youngest contestant. His objective of starting up a road traffic
monitoring system to help better route decisions will be tested by more
experienced contestants like Williams Oti, who is 35 years old and the
oldest contestant. The Rivers State entrepreneur plans to start-up a
talent school to help young people turn their talents into business
skills.
Other contestants are Nneji Tobechi, Nneka Ideli, Ogbeifun
Iroghama, Chukuebuka Anyaduba, Tinuade Olanrewaju, Okpo Zion
Oshiobugie, Chukwuemeka Ejeke, Bukola Fasuba, Omoogun Olufemi Andre,
Tochukwu Nwofor, Okpara Izizi Ebele, Akande Olanrewaju, Oj Lola and
Nwanya Chidinma.
The contestants will need more than ideas and
creativity to impress the judges. They will need to think out of the
box. The judges, Tonye Cole, Kyari A. Bukar, Chris Parkes and Jumoke
Oduwole are seasoned professionals with vast experience in business.
The
MTN sponsored business television show will be aired on Channels TV
(DSTV 234) 8pm – 9pm Saturdays and OnTv 6pm – 7pm Sundays. Viewers can
